My Name is Monica Broussard. I am an author, wife, mother, grandmother, and businesswoman.
I love spending time with my family, traveling, and writing. I was born in North Carolina on a Marine Corps base.
Through my writing, I weave into my storytelling the possibility of healing and redemption by finding new meaning after loss.
Ultimately, the best fiction for people who have experienced loss is what resonates with them and helps them navigate their unique journey of grief, healing, and rediscovering in their own lives.
I was fascinated with books at a young age, around 6 or 7 years old. I loved getting lost in stories that transported me to new worlds and helped me to see life from a fresh perspective. Books became a source of comfort, inspiration, and growth for me, and that fascination has only deepened over the years.
I started writing much later; I was inspired to write after my Stage 3 Breast Cancer Diagnosis and recovery journey. Realizing that I had a story and personal experience that could help others seemed to intertwine in my storytelling.
