Finding Revelation in our personal lives is to discover or perceive a surprising and/or previously unknown fact through Divine or Supernatural disclosure. It can be an event, dream, vision, or miracle made known in subtle or dramatic ways. In order to experience revelation, we must decern what is happening in our spirit through exchange and interaction with people, nature, and the connection to our surroundings- then translate this information into revelation through scriptural knowledge.
The revelation will contain and reveal a divine truth that is communicated to us through the understanding of God’s guidance and warnings. It may be something He reveals to us through an act of protection, enlightenment, or by revealing spiritual wisdom through a dream, vision, or miracle.
My goal is to express to you the importance of being aware and receiving this Divine assistance. We all must have an understanding and the knowledge of how God works in our daily lives as revealed in Scripture.
We can gain insight by telling each other about our experiences. They become a powerful medium in which we can learn and grow. Understanding these messages can help strengthen our resolve when times are difficult.
We all have three enemies, the world, the devil- and the flesh. These enemies will lie to us, entice us, trick us, and coerce us. How do we protect ourselves from the influence and desires of these three enemies?
The good news is that the enemy cannot take us by force. We have the power and authority of our lives through Jesus who died on the cross to give us that protection from the wicked and evil influences over our lives- so that we can enjoy life everlasting with Him.
When we yield to the promptings of the Holy Spirit- we walk in the Spirit. We must come to understand that we are in a war -and being attacked all the time. It says in (Romans 8:5) Those who live according to the flesh have their minds set on what the flesh desires; but those who live in accordance with the Spirit have their minds set on what the Spirit desires.
Living our lives on earth should be seen and experienced as a dry run- in the classroom of the Holy Spirit- who is preparing us for the life to come. That’s why when the disciples ask Jesus how they should pray he gave them this prayer:
Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name; thy kingdom come; thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread; and forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us; and lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil.
Amen
